Meet Dr. Larisa Takhalova
Practice Philosophy
As one of Upstate New York’s top female orthodontists, Dr. Larisa’s top priority is to create beautiful and healthy smiles while providing the best quality of care for each of her patients. In addition to providing the highest standard of care, she strives to create a warm, calm, compassionate and stress free environment.
Affiliations & Awards
Dr. Larisa grew up in New York City and graduated Summa Cum Laude from CUNY, Queens College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree with high honors from New York University College of Dentistry. She is a member of the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society and is the recipient of many academic and clinical awards, including Dr. Samuel Hess Award for Outstanding Scholarship, NYU College of Dentistry Merit Scholarship and Honors in Esthetic Dentistry.
She continued her education by completing a three year specialty training in Orthodontics at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, gaining extensive experience in comprehensive orthodontics, orthognathic surgical cases, Invisalign, ceramic braces, early interceptive Phase 1 treatment, cleft lip/palate and dentofacial deformities. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics and North Eastern Society of Orthodontics.
